Literature "Quicksearch"

Searches Humanities FullText, the MLA Bibliography, Project Muse, and other databases all at once, and gives you an initial 30 hits from each of them. Note: There are no databases specific to women/gender in the Literature QuickSearch grouping.

UW Madison Licensed Databases

Drawn from 290 sources, the British & Irish Women’s Letters & Diaries collection includes approximately 100,000 pages of published letters and diaries from individuals writing from 1500 to 1900, including several thousand pages of previously unpublished materials.

The Brown University Women Writers Project is a long-term research project devoted to early modern women's writing and electronic text encoding. The date span is 1400-1850.

Drawn from more than 600 sources, the North American Women’s Letters & Diaries collection includes some 150,000 pages of published letters and diaries from individuals writing from Colonial times to 1950, including more than 6,000 pages of previously unpublished materials.

The Scottish Women Poets of the Romantic Period collection includes some 60 volumes from 47 poets, as well as related secondary material.

Women’s Studies International indexes women’s studies books, journals, and more.
