Instructions for FireFox Users

If you use Firefox, you may get an error message when you try to open our articles or whole issues of Feminist Collections or Feminist Periodicals archived as pdfs in Minds@UW, the University of Wisconsin Institutional Repository. Here's what you can do:
  • Save the file to disk; then open it. To do so, hover over the link and right/opposite click. Select "save link as" and save it somewhere on the computer you are using. Be sure the file has a pdf extension (.pdf)


  • OR

  • Download the Firefox extension that lets you choose whether to try to open a PDF in-browser or to download it first. See http://www.pdfdownload.org/. Then, browse Feminist Collections by date or Feminist Periodicals by date in the Minds@UW collection, find the issue of interest, and click the link labelled "View/Open" corresponding to the full issue or associated file of interest

  • If your computer also has Internet Explorer or Safari, use one of them instead.
